City of Rancho Mirage
AIS has been assisting the City of Rancho Mirage since the early 1990s. Our initial project was to create a general plan data layer and streets data layer and a hardcopy map of both. Over the years we have provided the City updates to both general plan and street data layers. We have also prepared numerous maps that went into the City’s environmental documents.
AIS has also trained the City’s staff in the use of ArcView and how to update the shapefiles. In addition to the General Plan data, AIS created for the City a data layer of vacant and developed land based on the SCAG Regional Land Use. The City has AIS update the vacant/developed layer by photo interpreting the City’s yearly aerial photography.
We just completed an updating cycle, where the General Plan, Street, and Neighborhood maps were all reviewed, modified and re-printed. The new maps can now be found on the City’s website.
